This one was a small job - but small doesn't mean simple. A homeowner here in Chattanooga had a decorative strip running down the center of their driveway that had started sinking and breaking down. Left alone, that kind of problem only gets worse. Water gets underneath, the base keeps shifting, and eventually you're dealing with a much bigger repair.

So we tore it out. That's the only real fix. Patching over a bad base just kicks the can down the road. We pulled the damaged section, got the sub-base right, and then poured and stamped fresh concrete to match the original look - a herringbone brick pattern with a warm red tone. The prep work is what most people never see, but it's everything.

Here's what we were working with during the pour - the surrounding driveway taped off and protected with plastic sheeting, fresh concrete in place, and the color already worked in. Getting the color right on a repair like this matters. You're not doing a full driveway, so you have to match what's already there as closely as possible.

The finished strip ties right back into the existing driveway. Clean lines, consistent pattern, solid base underneath. That's the goal on every repair we do - not just fix what you can see, but make sure the fix holds.

A lot of contractors won't bother with smaller jobs like this. We do. Whether it's a full stamped concrete install or a focused repair like this one, the standard doesn't change. Good work is good work, regardless of the size of the job.
